Ratta Matta is a famous town and Union Council of Jhang District in the Punjab province of Pakistan[1] located on the Jhang-Lalian road. Before the land reforms of Ayub Khan, the Sayyads of the town held proprietorship of 12 villages including: Ratta, Matta, Hashim Wala, Rajay Wala, Khalar Awan, Panjgirain, Shergarh and Pippal. This town rose to national prominence because of the famous politicians of the town.
