Ratschings (Italian: Racines; Archaic (1000 AD): Rasine) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 90 km north of the city of Trento and about 45 km north of the city of Bolzano, on the border with Austria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,107 and an area of 203.6 km².[1]

The municipality of Ratschings contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Casateia, Mareta, Racines di Dentro, Racines di Fuori, Ridanna, Telves and Valgiovo.

Ratschings borders the following municipalities: Brenner, Freienfeld, Moos in Passeier, St. Leonhard in Passeier, Sarntal, Sterzing, Neustift im Stubaital (Austria) and Sölden (Austria).
