"Television Program Philosophy:

Burnaby South recognizes that citizens of the 21st Century will need to possess a variety of diverse skills. Therefore, we feel that all students should be exposed to and develop skills in the areas of communication, informational processing and computer applications, keyboarding, construction, manufacturing and the free enterprise system, energy and power, transportation, biotechnology, career oppurtunities, and leadership.

The knowledge needed to apply, adapt and utilize future technology requires life-long learning skills. To achieve this, students will need to possess critical thinking, problem solving, informational gathering, and cooperative learning skills, as well as, become technically and computer literate.
