Rasta Taco is a Mexican casual fast-food chain, located in California's Gold Coast, Dana Point (Orange County). It was founded in 2007 by Mario "Maji" Melendez and is owned by Rasta Taco Holding Inc. Rasta Taco began as a mobile taco cart catering company in 2007. After success of its mobile taco cart operation, Rasta Taco Holding Inc was formed 2008, and launched its first reggae-inspired restaurant location. Rasta Taco Catering is still Southern California's premiere mobile taco cart catering company. Rasta Taco with its very recognizable logo, look and color with its Jamaica/Rasta and Mexico motif combining elements of Mexico and Jamaica culinary plates.
