Raskens

Raskens is Swedish novel by Vilhelm Moberg. The story takes place in the 19th century and is about Gustav Rask, a peasant who becomes a soldier in the Swedish allotment system.

Raskens was also made into TV mini-series in 1976, starring Sven Wollter and Gurie Nordwall. The series was a huge success and probably scored the highest Swedish viewer ratings of all time. According to Swedish Television the last episode was watched by 75% of the Swedish population (all ages) [1].
