RasiRNA

In cell biology, rasiRNAs (repeat associated small interfering RNAs) are RNAs that marks DNA for heterochromatin packaging in order to silence the expression of certain genes. This is done by methylating the cytosine nucleotides in DNA, which indicates to the cell to package the DNA in the form of heterochromatin.
