Ras Al Khaimah IT Park launched by Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone, is an economic free zone, that aims to build advanced, high tech infrastructure to attract Information Technology companies from around the world, in an effort to emulate success achieved by Dubai Internet City. It is likely to attract spillover business that Dubai Internet City is unable to accommodate due to lack of space, as well as providing a significantly lower cost base that will prove attractive to many companies struggling with the rapidly rising cost of living in Dubai. Residential rents in RAK are about a quarter of those in Dubai.
