Ras Al Khaimah English Speaking School

Ras Al Khaimah English Speaking School or as known as RAKESS is an international school that provides the IB PYP and the Diploma Programme, and the I-GCSE Middle Years' course.

As of May 2008 Mr. Victor Eid will remain as Principal until June 17, 2008. He will be replaced by an Australian Principal, Mr. Roy Burrows, who was previously Deputy Head at Wesley College, Melbourne. Wesley College is a large K - 12 Private School, which successfully runs both the IB PYP and DP. It is one of the top best private school in all of Australia.

The change to the IB programmes has causes some issues with staff and some have chosen to leave. But with the school going to be under new management soon, any such problems may decline at a successful rate. This will all depend on the new administration with its new policies. Though according to Mr. Burrows, the changes will be big and will have a positive effect towards the institution.

The school achieves above-average school grades and marks.
