RasGas

RasGas Company Limited is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) producing company in Qatar. RasGas was established in 1998 by Qatar Petroleum (70%) and ExxonMobil (30%). The company operates five LNG trains in Ras Laffan, with total capacity of 20.7 million tonnes of LNG per annum (and a sales gas train which is supplying gas to the local industries). The Train 6 expected to come online in 2008, and the Train 7 expected to come online in 2009. RasGas operated helium plant produces 9.2 tonnes per day of liquid helium, which is approximately 10% of the world's total helium production.[1]
