User talk:Raquela

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Hello

And Welcome to Wikipedia. You have expressed concerns, on your userpage and elsewhere, about why the article you created, Raquela, is being considered for deletion. A debate abouit this is under way at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raquela. Feel free to comment there, but first it is a good idea to read WP:NOT and Wikipedia:Deletion policy. I'm here to address some of your concerns. Take this paragraph:

"It was soon after 9/11 that Broadway took a huge turn and Raquela was struggling again. But as usual, not for long. During a casual phone conversation with her younger brother, an idea was past along. The music industry. Originally, it was Disco that inspired Raquela and she enjoyed venturing off artistically into Electronica Dance styles of today. Since experiencing the demise of Disco in the 1970's and then the raise of New Wave, Latin Freestyle and House during the 80's, song writer Raquela would splice a bit of her own life's experiences into her music while at the same time exploring emotional fantasy worlds from the past and into the future. She called it, Electronica Theatrical."

It reads like a fairy tale rather than an encyclopedia entry, which is totally unacceptable. Most of the article is written like this, therefore it would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to conform to Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. This alone makes it liable for deletion. Secondly, the claims of notability within the artice have no sources whatsoever. Another obvious problem is your user name, which makes it very probable that you have a conflict of interest. Our general thought here is that if you are notable enough to merit an article, some unbiased person will write it for you. These are the reasons this article is being considered for deletion. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you. --Tractorkingsfan 20:10, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
