RAQUEL PARTNOY was born in Argentina. Since 1995 she lives in Washington D.C. Her style has madured through 60 one woman exhibits and more than 85 group shows in her country and abroad. She has participate in several competitions and received important awards. In 1998, Partnoy received a grant from the Washington D.C. Commission on the Arts. Se has been recognized by Buenos Aires and Washington art critics, and her work is found in museums and public and private collections throughout Argentina and the United States.
Her selected solo exhibits in Washington include: Embassy of Argentina-2003, School of The Americas Watch at La Casa-2003, Martin Luther King, Jr. Library-2003 (dedicated to Dr. King on the 35 Anniversay of his assassination). Parish Gallery-1999, B'nai B'rith Klutznick National Jewish Museum -1997, Embassy of Argentina-1997, District of Columbia Jewish Commnunity Center-1996, The Women's Expo, Featured Artist, Washington Convention Center-1996, Studio Gallery-1995. She also had a solo exhibit at Goucher College, Baltimore-2001.
