Raquel Reyes is an American transsexual model and writer.
Reyes was born in Florida. She is of Cuban and Italian descent. She grew up in Tampa, but has lived in various cities including Boston, Miami Beach, and most recently, Savannah, Georgia. She has traveled throughout the world and has performed in nightclubs in Paris, London, Monte Carlo, Buenos Aries, and Lima.
Often called the world's most downloaded transsexual model,{{Australian Penthouse August 2001, V2 Magazine July 2003,} she began modeling in 1997 for photographers Pasquale Devane, James Bold, and John Benson. She launched her own website in 1999. In print she has been referred to as a "Transsexual Goddess".[1]
Reyes has appeared on dozens of magazine covers throughout the world, including many mainstream publications such asV2 magazine, New York's Sex in the City, and Australian Penthouse. Her memoir Goddess (2007) has received a favorable review in the 12 October 2007 edition of the St. Petersburg Times. Bestselling author Ellen Tanner Marsh called the book "frank, bold, and achingly honest." In the book Reyes describes in vivid detail her struggles with gender identity, addiction and her life as a paid escort to some of the world's most famous men.
In 2007, following the publication of her memoir, Reyes began dissolving the paid members area of her website citing "boredom and other commitments" as a reason. The site is currently online and offers biographical info, photographs and a tour schedule but little else. She currently resides between Tampa and Savannah.
