[edit] Notability

Article created from a red link of the Ivorian Music template: listed as a major style of Music in Cote d'Ivoire. See Music of Côte d'Ivoire. T L Miles (talk) 18:27, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Looks to me like all we really need is a redirect to Ivoirian hip hop, and maybe an extra paragraph in the latter. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:56, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Trying to save server space? :) It's the most popular style of Hip Hop in a hip hop mad nation for almost 10 years (see the Angelo & les Dogbas record being released in the US last year), and followed by millions of people, both in West Africa and France. I'm not sure you can say that for many things on wikipedia. It also has several independent sources, if you'd like to take a look. T L Miles (talk) 19:03, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Went and looked at the link you gave, and the wording is "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." I think this meets that criteria.T L Miles (talk) 19:12, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
