Talk:RAPID

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 31 May 2006 version of the article suggests the acronym has been superceeded and is no longer in use for Rural Property Addressing. However, the property numbers that result are called RAPID numbers in both New Zealand and Australia, according to a recent google search. Also this article suggests there is a difference between RAPID numbers and Rural Addressing. It suggests the numbers are complimentary rather than mutually exclusive, and that the RAPID system has not been replaced. The article needs expanding to explain these inconsistency, and that the term is Australasian, not New Zealand specific. It should also explain how RAPID numbers are calculated. -- Cameron Dewe 23:08, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
