[edit] Information

The population between 1981 and 1991 was one of the few villages in the province that recovered its population. The 2001 census showed that the population lost more than one-third by 3% from the 1991 census. The only area that lost its forests was for the construction of the superhighway between Tripoli and Kalamata which began in 2000 and finished in 2003 to make the route easier from difficult mountain curvy roads. It was half complete in 2002 and opened a tunnel named Artemisio Tunnel. The total length is 1.365 km/1,365 m. The highway in 2003 was opened to traffic. The superhighway runs in the northwestern and the northern parts.

[edit] Other
