Rappa Castle is located in County Mayo, Ireland. It was the home of the Knox family before the 1920s. The Knox family left the castle after the Irish rebellion and the Castle came into the possession of William Gillespie. The Gillespie family which consisted of 13 children lived in the castle until the upkeep became too much. William built a new home for the family in front of the house where the family lived until 2001. The remains of the castle stand behind the house.
