Raphael Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Raphael Park is a public park in Romford, London Borough of Havering. The park is one of a series of parks which stretch from the railway line at Romford into Essex. The southern entrance to Raphael Park is on Main Road in Romford, and the northern entrance is just south of the A12 Eastern Avenue.
The western boundary of the park follows the line of Black's Brook, a small stream which has been dammed where the park meets Main Road to form a shallow lake. The park itself is part of the parkland that surrounded Gidea Hall.
Rapael Park contains two ancient Pedunculate Oaks recorded by the Woodland Trust.[1]
