[edit] Seiyuu

Just a quick heads up on a bunch of recent edits I made to the individual seiyuu articles, a lot of which were started by you. I recently changed most of them in order for them to appear in Category:Seiyuu in alphabetical order by family name. For maintaining that order, it might be a good idea to put the sort key directly into any new articles you create in the future. For example (don't worry about that specific article, though; I already took care of it). Thanks! --MarkSweep 20:28, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Article Licensing

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

[edit] Category:Seiyu

 • Thanks for all your help in moving the seiyū articles from the old category. I just started editing again, and there were only a few articles left to move! Josh 04:02, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Tamao Hayashi

I was just looking at this article and trying to decide whether it met the speedy deletion critera when you removed the speedy notice. You should not have removed the notice as you were the author of the article. I will leave the notice off as I think it just barely fails to qualify as a candidate for speedy delete. You could improve the artice, by for example mentioning that this artist was a voice on Crayon Shin-chan. I can't add this as easily as I'm not sure what sex they are, so I don't know whether to use he or she.-gadfium 02:18, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] InuYasha Manga Chapters

Yo:

i would appreciate it if you can tell me where you found the information on the current chapter of InuYasha released through manga. Through a website? or you subscribe to the manga in Japanese? ( !!! ) lol

Thanks. LG-犬夜叉 08:27, Jan 11, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the link...very useful. But wouldn't it be illegal to put such a detailed description of what happens in the manga on the Internet? lol but it's nevertheless good for the fans outside of Japan. Cheers~ LG-犬夜叉 03:57, Jan 14, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] seiyu stubs

good work on the seiyu; quick question: is the actor-stub template appropriate to seiyu? more appropriate than the bio-stub?Nateji77 12:57, 10 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Tessaiga

Hi. I have posted a request to revisit this topic at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (Japan-related_articles). Thanks. Your input will be appreciated. LG-犬夜叉 09:35, Feb 26, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Using macrons

I noticed you were having a frustrating time on the Kappei Yamaguchi page. Have you used the box that appears below the "Save page", "Show preview", and "Show changes" buttons? It's full of the most common macronned characters. All you have to do to use them is place your cursor in the edit box where you wish the macronned character to appear, and then click on the appropriate macronned character. Hope that helps. [edit] Userbox Public Transit

According to Wikipedia:The German solution, here’s a a tip for you: (in lieu of the blanked template:User Public Transit). -- Olve 22:50, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re:Puyo Pop Fever 2

You might not have detected it, but edits made by User:24.205.31.88(blocked numerous times for introducing incorrect info to articles) directly before your minor edit was vandailistic nonsense which I since reverted...Ranma9617 01:08, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

My bot is not a vandalism bot. It only updates cleanup tags. It did that...quite well. I'm not really sure what you think I should do. Alphachimpbot 01:23, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dick Witham

If your investigations have yielded any concrete evidence, I would be very pleased to hear it, as so far all I have heard are unsubstantiated allegations. Tyrenius 04:10, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of postal codes in Mexico

Hi Just wanted to say that you are doing excellent work to this article and making it much more useable. Keep it up! Eddie.willers 11:38, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Yamaguchi_Kappei.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Yamaguchi_Kappei.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] WikiProject Steely Dan

I know this could be considered spamming, but I couldn't help noticing that you have a Steely Dan userbox. I am trying to start a Steely Dan WikiProject and was just wondering if you were interested. Come to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Steely_Dan to sign up and visit the WikiProject-to-be's temporary page here. NauticaShades 16:16, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WHDH

Thanks for catching that vandalism on the WHDH page. That user has done this before on numerous pages and under 4 IP addresses that I know of....68.162.247.229, 141.154.10.193, 68.160.165.46, and 68.162.243.40, all these IPs are out of Verizon of Boston. I appericate your help and ask you to keep an eye on the Boston stations, among others, as those are the ones he/she hits the most. Thanks again....SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 18:44, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up on the new IP address. I have that one on my watchlist too. I wonder if we should let Verizon know as well, since they could track down the account via the IP address and could shut them down that way. Just a thought there. I will keep an eye on the new IP. Thanks again:) - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 07:17, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Hey, I added some comments to the page...I hope they help. I will keep that on my watchlist and keep an eye on all the TV pages for any retaliation (sp) for it. - SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 08:19, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mervyn's

Thanks for catching that Sunrise Mall ambiguity. TenPoundHammer 16:32, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removing prods

Please give a proper explanation in the edit summary when removing proposed deletion notices from articles. Merely stating a prod is "dubious", as you did with Fahad Kazi, is totally insufficient. In future please give full reasons, with reference to deletion policy whenever possible. Thank you. Qwghlm 11:38, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Kappei Yamaguchi

If you'd have looked at the talk page, you'll see it's added there, where most of the maintenance templates belong - and I'd say that most image request templates as a subcategory of maintenance templates fall into this category (the blatant exception being the "blank" that show up in album & song infoboxes).

As it stands, the entire top of the article is simply one huge template, no text for c. 15 lines - not really a desirable thing for someone coming to look for information on the subject to see first and foremost, right? I've gone through over 3500 articles so far in the 'requested photos' (actually searching for mis-tagged film articles) and only about 5 of these image maintenance tags were placed on the article and not the talk page - all have been removed and put on the talk page. 02:22, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] KOMO TV article - recent edits, etc

In a recent edit you made to the KOMO-TV article, you mention that it "conveniently" forgets how KOMO has done ratings-wise both historically and currently.

Well, it's not a matter of "conveniently forgetting" as you put it. It's a matter of there being no real web-based source of information to go from in terms of citing.

I can certainly say without a shadow of a doubt, however, that for most of the 1980s leading into the very late 1990s, KOMO was the leader in TV news for the Seattle market. I can also add with certainty that while KING 5 News consistently ran "Number One at 5 o'clock..." voiceover tags during their news intros in that same time frame, it was infact KOMO that led the ratings race (predominantly due to the fact that during much of the 1980s and 1990s, ABC News was the most-watched network news organization, and both ABC News and KOMO News tied together hand-in-hand ratings-wise for the Seattle market).

It's also worthy to note that in 1996, KOMO held the top spot nationally for "Best Newscast" and infact won that title six out of eight years in a row. Also, in 1995 and 1996, KOMO won 18 emmy awards, including the top six, and consistently beats KING in annual emmy award counts.

I'm not here to start a flame war with anybody nor an edit war, but I've noticed a considerable amount of bias against KOMO on Wikipedia. Srosenow 98 09:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Newscast Schedules Goof-Up

Thanks for the correction. I got into a groove and didn't realize I had made a mistake or two. Am trying to track those down now and correct them. Thanks for your help. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 11:42, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rootology

Howdy,

You may not be aware, but JWales actually granted Rootology's m:Right to vanish request. Also, we're unlikely to forget his history, so leaving that page tagged is unnecessary and it can be restored in seconds if Rootology begins acting abusively again. In the meantime, I suggest that you re-delete it. I'll defer from doing so myself unless I don't hear back from you in a reasonable amount of time. Regards, CHAIRBOY () 18:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, he has not edited in a long time, and doesn't seem to be doing anything on Wikipedia at this time, so I don't understand what purpose this serves. Let me know if I am wrong.--Jimbo Wales 18:54, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Rootology now runs www.wikiabuse.com which catalogues abuses of Wikipedia Administrators. Askedaxiss 01:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Ranma9617, it's been almost a day, so I'm going to go ahead and re-delete User:Rootology per the above. Please contact me if you have any concerns. - CHAIRBOY () 16:52, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WP:POINT/WP:IDONTLIKEIT

I respectfully disagree with your interpretations of WP:POINT and WP:IDONTLIKEIT. They are referring to arguments made when discussing the deletion of articles, not when tagging articles for cleanup, as I did. Tagging articles for cleanup is neither disrupting Wikipedia to make a point, nor is it an expression of opinion on the subject. I added the notability and unreferenced notices to the various television news music articles because (1) none of the articles explained why their subjects were important, and (2) none of the articles' statements were sourced.

This isn't meant to be a criticism of you; just an explanation of how I interpreted Wikipedia guidelines. Assuming good faith, and all that. :) —tregoweth (talk) 23:47, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Megumi1.gif listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Megumi1.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. [edit] Oh My Goddess!

A goddess descends to your talk page

Hi, I noticed your username appears on this category and would like to invite you to take part in a general improvement drive on all articles relevant to Oh My Goddess! including character articles, episode articles and others. -- Cat chi? 21:49, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] I apologize

Between December 14, 2005 and June 7, 2007, I vandalized Wikipedia under my previous username (YechielMan) and under various IP addresses and alternate accounts.

I recently reviewed the contribution logs of all the accounts and IP addresses that I can recall having used. My goal was to identify all of the intentionally harmful edits I caused, and to apologize to the individual users who reverted those edits, or warned me, or blocked me.

Hence, I apologize to you and to all of the following users:

Adam Bishop, Amarkov, Antandrus, AntiVandalBot, Bdj (Badlydrawnjeff), Conk 9, CanbekEsen, DLand, Downwards, Eagle 101, Ericbronder, Gogo Dodo, High on a tree, Hut 8.5, Interiot, Jayjg, Jrwallac, Kingboyk, Kuru, Noclip, Patrick Berry, PFHLai, PhantomS, Pollinator, Rachack, Ranma9617, Rx StrangeLove, SlimVirgin, Tfrogner, TommyBoy, Vary, Woohookitty, Zzuuzz, and some anonymous IPs. (I also reverted one edit myself after it went unnoticed for three weeks.)

Thank you for maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia against everyone who has attacked it, including my old self.

If you wish to respond, please do so at my talk page.

Best regards, Shalom (HelloPeace) 19:26, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sacramento Regional Transit District

Hi, I noticed your contributions to Sacramento Regional Transit District. The Light rail in North America has a section dedicated to Sacramento's light rail system but it is not written. What's needed is a 1-2 paragraph summary of the whole light rail system if you'd like to write it. Cheers.--Loodog (talk) 00:14, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Daisuke Kishio

A tag has been placed on Daisuke Kishio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] AfD nomination of Ryūzō Ishino

I have nominated Ryūzō Ishino, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ryūzō Ishino.
