[edit] Me

Born April 21, 1956 in Santa Rosa, I am a second-generation California native. My grandparents moved to Healdsburg and Windsor from Iowa and Kansas. I have been a resident of the Sacramento area since 1960 and now live on a few acres near Loomis with my wife, three cats, and three Arabian horses.

I started working in what we used to call "data processing" back in 1978 when punch cards were still in daily use, cutting my teeth on Honeywell 66/40 and IBM 360/30 mainframes. I bought my first PC, a Sanyo MBC-1000 CP/M system, in 1982 and have worked hard to keep up ever since. Tending toward systems programming, data networking, and system administration, I've worked at the District Office of the Los Rios Community College District since 1982.

I hope to retire in just a few years on 70 acres (28 hectares) of land we purchased near Lake Don Pedro in southwestern Tuolumne County.

[edit] Wikipedia

An occasional contributor to Wikipedia under IP addresses here and here since 2004-04, I created User:RandallJones in 2005-05 and became a bit more active, which doesn't amount to much in the grand scheme of things.

I wish I could override the width and placement of the U.S. Roads template. Ick.
