Needs clean-up on several levels including: add sections, wikify, better references. This is used in several fields outside statistics (maybe more than within statistics) and needs to be both clearer and more technically accurate. Qwfp ( talk) 14:16, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Confusion between largest and 'primate' cities
Geographers seem to draw a distinction between the ‘primate city distribution’ versus the ‘rank size rule’. So the largest city in a nation or region is not necessarily a primate city, as the article previously suggested. [1] [2] Pondle (talk) 21:54, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
