Ransom Halloway

Ransom Halloway (born about 1793; died April 6, 1851) was a United States Representative from New York. Born in Beekman, Dutchess County, he engaged in agricultural pursuits and was brigade paymaster of the New York Militia in 1818.

Halloway was elected as a Whig to the Thirty-first Congress, holding office from March 4, 1849 to March 3, 1851. He died in Mount Pleasant in 1851.
