Rankin Park is a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, located 11 kilometres (7 mi) west of Newcastle's central business district. It is split between the City of Lake Macquarie and City of Newcastle local government areas.
The suburb began as a housing estate named Cambridge Hills. The local preschool on McCaffrey Drive retains the former estate's name.
The east of suburb contains George McGregor Park, a 19.66-hectare (48.58-acre) bushland reserve managed by Newcastle City Council
