Ranger Boats

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ranger Boats are a popular line of boats designed primarily for bass fishing. The company was founded in 1968 by Forrest L. Wood in Flippin, Arkansas. Ranger is generally credited with the introduction of the modern bass boat.[1]

Ranger Boats are a part of Genmar, the world's largest recreational boat manufacturer. Ranger is a major sponsor of the Wal-Mart FLW Tour of bass fishing tournaments; the tour's initials are taken from Wood, and its championship event is named the Forrest Wood Cup.
