Rangárþing ytra

Rangárþing ytra is a municipality located in southern Iceland. As of 2006, the total population was 1,526 (28th most populous in country), and the total area was 3,188 km² (11th largest in area). Its major industries include tourism and agriculture. Rangárþing ytra was created on June 9, 2002, when three municipalities, Rangárvallahreppur, Holta- og Landsveit, and Djúpárhreppur were merged together.
