Raheem Jarbo (born September 3,), known as Random or Random Beats or Mega Ran is an American underground rapper and record producer.

He is noted for releasing in 2006, his album The Call, an album which many publications and websites have claimed is one of the best of the year. [1]

Raheem Jarbo was born in Philadelphia to an American born mother and African-born father. He has stated in interviews that he wrote his first rhyme in 1993. Raheem holds a degree in African/African-American Studies from Penn State University and works full-time as a special education teacher in Phoenix, Arizona After college, Random landed a job as an engineer in a Philadelphia studio, and recorded his first demo which caught the ear of esteemed Philadelphia emcee Ohene, who had created RAHM Nation as a home for creative hip-hop music after the success of his critically acclaimed Rapademics album received positive reviews from Murder Dog, Philadelphia Weekly and several print media outlets.

For The Call, Random reached out to many popular artists and producers for collaborations. Artists on the project included Wordsworth, G-Unit and former Ruff Ryders producer Samik, Philadelphia's Reef the Lost Cauze and many more. Random's "RemixTape" included many of the same collaborators.[2] His 2007 project, Mega Ran is a tribute to the Mega Man video game series. This album was also named "Best of the year" from several sources. [3]
