Randolph CMC

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Randolph CMC Church is a Chortitzer Mennonite Conference (CMC) congregation located in the postal district of Randolph (originally known as Chortitz). It is the only CMC Church that still conducts services in the traditional format: singing is done with no musical instruments and the service is conducted entirely in German.

The Chortitz church was the main church of the conference for many years, as it was the home church of the bishops. During the past few decades, the Randolph church has continued to shrink. Today, the congregation consists of less than 30 people, mostly seniors who still understand and speak German.
