Ranavav is located at 21.68° N 69.75° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 40 metres (131 feet).

Ranavav has a nice cement factory owned by Mr.Jay Mehta (husband of bollywood actress Mrs.Juhi Chawla). the factory is completely automated and is proud of ranavav.

As of 2001 India census[2], Ranavav had a population of 24,202. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Ranavav has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 55%. In Ranavav, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
