Professor Ranajit Chakraborty is a famous human geneticist and currently the Robert A. Kehoe Professor and Director of Center for Genome Information at College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati. He was born in West Bengal, India.
He received his B.Stat.(H) in 1967 and M.Stat (Math. Genetics) in 1968 from the Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta. There, he also received his PhD (Biostatistics) in 1971.
