Rana papua is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It is found in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical swamps, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, freshwater lakes, freshwater marshes, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest.
