Rana guentheri is a species of frog in the Ranidae family. It is found in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Vietnam, possibly Cambodia, and possibly Laos. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marches, arable land, plantations , rural gardens, water storage areas, ponds, aquaculture ponds, irrigated land, seasonally flooded agricultural land, and canals and ditches. It is threatened by habitat loss.
