[edit] Date format
Hi Ramirez. Just so you know, changing around the order of the date, month or year when they are 'wikified' (eg changing 3 January 2007 to January 3 2007) has no real effect. The wikimedia software causes such dates to be displayed in the order specified according to each individual user's preferences (no matter what the order they are actually entered in the underlying code). Regards, --cjllw ʘ TALK 13:03, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unreferenced templates
The date syntax is: , but if you leave the date off it will be added by a WP:BOT. Rich Farmbrough, 09:32 11 September 2007 (GMT).

[edit] Some required reading
Read Template:Infobox musical artist before you alter anymore musician boxes.(saves having to undo all your edits) Read the fine details. Years aren't wiki-linked. Comma separation(or breaks but only in special circumstances)... do not use the word 'and' anywhere. See WP:FLAGCRUFT as well. Flags are neither req'd, nor welcome in infoboxes. Hope that helps. 156.34.210.48 16:57, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Percentages
I don't think my edits to Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez are to be considered vandalism. I just added win and ko percentages, things sometimes mentioned other media. Also, I corrected a sentence in the Barrera article. 124.106.201.225 00:13, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Reply: Your recent edits on Barrera and Márquez articles are indentified as "POV", "Vanity" and "Unnessary". My job is to terminate articles free from "Neutral Point of Views" and add "Factual Informations". We are keeping the articles encylopedic and simple. --Ramírez 04:55, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:MABarrera.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:MABarrera.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:00, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hola
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Milli Vanilli Greatest Hits Album.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Milli Vanilli Greatest Hits Album.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 00:17, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Morales barrera 3.jpg
I have tagged Image:Morales barrera 3.jpg as no rationale, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 18:52, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Morales barrera 3a.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Morales barrera 3a.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 23:43, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Good job keeping an eye on the article. There's just one thing: foreign names like mestizo, caboclo, etc., should be written in italics, not between quotation marks. Regards. FilipeS (talk) 20:07, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Invitation
Hello. You may have seen that some Wikipedia articles lack sources to given dates, timelines and chronologies.
If you feel that you could like to help in making all articles more reliable and well sourced in this regard, we would like to encourage you to use, as part of your daily editing and when fact is not enough for requesting clearly and specifically a citation or source for dates, timeline or chronology, the following inline tags:
- Histfact displays {history source needed} for requesting sources for historical claims and history context. Click here for more information
- Timefact displays {chronology source needed} for requesting timelines, dates and chronology sources. Click here for more information
At WP Timeline Tracer, we thank you for using these tools and for helping to make Wikipedia articles more accurate and reliable.

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Spanish Empire-World Map.png
A tag has been placed on Image:Spanish Empire-World Map.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Sdrtirs (talk) 15:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Morales_vs._Barrera.jpg.2000.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Morales_vs._Barrera.jpg.2000.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:187 (film).jpg}
Thank you for uploading Image:187 (film).jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:187 (film) K.O.S. gang.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:187 (film) K.O.S. gang.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 15:29, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
