In the future, when a username is clearly designed to cause trouble you will get a faster response from WP:AIV. The request for comments is mostly for names that are borderline and need discussion. have fun editing. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 15:49, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Re: Northwich Victoria edits (from discussion page)

This may be a stupid question, but does the fact that Jon McCarthy played for Northern Ireland PROVE that he is a Northern Irish citizen and has a Northern Irish passport? Enquiry 13:47, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Enquiry, Jon McCarthy like anybody born in the United Kingdom would have a British passport. As I wrote on Jon's page he was actually born in England. However, if you look around at other players such as Owen Hargreaves, Ben Thatcher, John Barnes or Terry Butcher, the actual place of birth isn't always the same as the country played for. It seems to be the convention on Wikipedia that if a player has played international football, then the country played for is the relevent one. If you look back through the much disrupted history of the page the squad list was added by someone probably from Poland who probably would be unaware of Jon's international career. Welcome to Wikipedia by the way.Ram4eva 16:21, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

I think you would make a good administrator

On Wikipedia do people nominate themselves to be administrators or do other people nominate them? I think you would make a good admin from looking through your contributions (and would nominate you if that's possible), particularly to Northwich Victoria F.C.

I see that you didn't back down to someone with no regard for Wikipedia's principles on what appears to be a small point (the Northern Irish and English flags are very similar!). You explain yourself and edit in line with consensus. You do not attack other users and addressed Tricky Victoria's incivility towards the resident sock-puppeteer. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shopping list (talkcontribs)

About your vandalism report

Thank you for making a report about 81.131.55.161 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you! Jesse Viviano 20:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
