[edit] Sam Allardyce

I was just wondering what your reasons were for removing the 'nickname' attribute from the Sam Allardyce infobox? Is the nickname attribute deprecated, as I thought it was widely used? Is there any guideline or discussion on this? Surely the words "Big Sam" should appear somewhere in the article though?? Cheers.

Wembley here we come :-)

Please ignore the above, I think I see now. As I understand it, the nickname attribute seems to have been removed from Template:Infobox Football biography following a discussion. Not sure if a bot will clean this up, but I guess I will remove it where I see it, and if a nickname is especially notable and/or referenced, add it into the article proper. Might be worth putting a note on article talk pages when doing so, as I notice someone reverted your change already. --Jameboy 21:31, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
