[edit] Ramsquire
Final (0/5/3) ended 00:24, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Ramsquire (talk · contribs) – I have been an editor at Wikii for almost two years. I like to believe that i have served as a voice of reason on most articles I have worked on. I am especially proud of my work on the JFK articles, and also on the OJ Simpson murder trial page. However, simply bein an editor, is no longer enough for me. I would like the opportunity to move up in the Wiki world and become an administrator. Ramsquire 22:01, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
:I would like to withdraw my nomination:
- Questions for the candidate
Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.
- A: I would love to assist on the backlogs, also I would be more than happy to assist on dispute resolutions and removing vandalism from Wiki. As an editor, I constantly search out and revert vandalism I find in articles.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A:My work on the JFK articles, and my entry on the OJ Simpson murder page. Finally, I was also happy to help stop a possible edit war on the Global Warming page in the introduction.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: I have not been in any serious conflicts over editing in the past. A certain user who refuses to accept WP:NOV has accused me, along with other editors and an administrator, of deleting information I disagree with. However, is assertions are without merit. An example of these baseless accusations can be found on the Talk:Clay Shaw page

- Oppose. Suggest to the nom that he read my standards, and read through WP:RFA/ST to get an idea of the basic numbers people expect to see before considering a nominee. Themindset 23:07, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose too inexperienced, needs more contributions in order to make a real judgment.--Jersey Devil 23:33, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Oppose. This user is a good editor, but has only really become a very constitent contributor within the last month. That's not long enough to become an admin. The user also needs to get much more involved in editing in the Wikipedia space if adminship is to be considered in the future. Zaxem 23:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Neutral
- You have been around for quite a while and have contributed greatly even if it was to only a few articles. However, looking through your edit history, I would like to see more consistency in the number of edits you perform over shorter, rolling periods of time, like the last couple weeks for example. Also, there are a lot of "admin" things I would like to encourage you to get involved in that don't actually require being an admin. You can find a list of them here. Better luck in the future and happy editing! --ZsinjTalk 23:05, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Neutral and urge withdrawal. You've been around for quite some time and your contributions are solid. However, you need to become more active. Most editors' standards include edit count limits of "2000 or more". (But remember that edit count isn't important in the least!) I don't want a great editor like you to get scared off of RfA - some of the comments can get pretty harsh - because you have a very good chance of becoming an admin in the future. Try to contribute more consistently (at least 50 edits a week, generally) and take part in AfDs. In a few months, with more consistent editing, you'll have my support. Srose (talk) 23:22, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
- Neutal. I'll support in approximately 500 more good edits. Though Ramsquire is a good editor who would not abuse the tools, xe needs more article edits. --Gray Porpoise 23:28, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
