Ramsta, Nærøy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The homestead of Ramsta (Old Norse: Hrafnista) on the island of Nærøy in Nord-Trøndelag, northern Norway, was the home of a family from which came several heroes in a group of legendary sagas called the Hrafnistumannasögur.

The island of Nærøy was of old a central meeting place not only for the people of Namdalen but also for people from neighbouring districts.
