Ramoth Gilead is a Filipino Christian rock band originating from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. Comprising six members: Daniel Bayles (lead vocals,guitar), Jasper Parcon (keyboards, backing vocals), Elijah Bayles (drums), Paul Cesar Absin (guitar), Farley Jay Alli (guitar) and Clifford Justin Amper (bass guitar, the band is best known for hit songs including "Death", "Undo My Paradigm" and "Reaching Out".
Ramoth Gilead has been recognized as a pioneer of Christian Rock music in Bacolod City from its debut album Death. Released in October 2003, the bands single's Death and Undo My Paradigm was then played on Local Radio Stations and was exposed to Local TV Stations as well.
The Band is still working for their upcoming album dated to be released in 2008.

[edit] Rebirth
Two members of Ramoth Gilead have known each other since they are from the same church Negros Full Gospel Church together in Bacolod City. While attending Summer Youth Camp, Daniel Bayles joined up with Johnnel Deriada, Milo Jimena, Jun Sandell, Gilbert Ferrer and Elijah Bayles to form Rebirth, a Christian Contemporary/Gospel band that played its first gig at Brgy. Vista Allegre on December, 2000.
The band then released its only independent self produced album Rebirth:Death in the late of 2000. Despite support Local Christian churches, the album failed to take off commercially and, in the middle of 2001, the band took a rest.

When Archie Limsiaco joined Rebirth in 2002, the band adopted the name Ramoth Gilead. The band played showcase gigs in different churches in Bacolod City and appeared on Television and Radio Stations.
The band signed with Jahiel Music, an independent record label in Bacolod City. They also signed a deal with Praise Music Incorporated.
In 2006, the current line up of Ramoth Gilead are: Daniel Bayles - Lead vocals Lead guitars, Elijah Bayles - Drums, Jasper Parcon - Vocals Keyboard and rhythm guitars, Paul Cesar Absin - Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Farley Jay Alli - Vocals Rhythm Guitars, Clifford Justin Amper - Bass Guitar

The band recorded Death at Life Word Studios in Tangub, Bacolod City with record producer Arthur and Miriam Bayles, who had also produced for Silverwings. Most of the songs on Ramoth Gilead's debut album was directly inspired by Daniel's personal views about Christian life and his devotion to God. Death was the name of the album that talks about the Death of Jesus Christ which is also one the singles released in the album.
The first single "Undo My Paradigm" had reached the Top 20 Countdown of Jamie 102.3 a local Radio Staion in Bacolod City. The album was then labeled as fast selling and highly recommended by the Praise Music Incorporated in December 2003
Ramoth Gilead continued to promote their debut album, touring the Negros Island from Sagay City going to Bago City.
Eventually their first music video Death appeared on National TV, namely MYX Channel and also their second music video Undo My Paradigm on the TV Channel.
[edit] Entering the City of Refuge
On May, 2007, Ramoth Gilead's EP album, Entering the City of Refuge, was released. The band continued to play and promote their EP during Bacolod's Masskara Festival and guesting in the Local TV shows and Radio Stations.
They also participated in other City Scholarship's Fund raising Concert and joined the University Celebration in the schools of Bacolod City..

The Band was always criticized by the conservative Christians throughout the Negros Island. With the reason that Ramoth Gilead was the pioneer for Modern Christian Rock in Bacolod City.
