Ramona Shelburne is an American sports journalist currently writing for the Los Angeles Daily News.
Shelburne was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She attended El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills, California where she was a class valedictorian. She then went to Stanford University from 1997-2001 where she received a BA in American Studies and an MA in Communication. She was a three-time National Fastpitch Coaching Association Academic All-American softball player.
Shelburne writes a weekly column on local sports, covers women's college basketball, Cal State Northridge men’s basketball and other college sports.
She contributed to coverage of the Rose Bowl in 2004 and 2006. She contributed to coverage of the UCLA men's basketball team's run to the Final Four in 2006.
