Rami is the plural of ramus, literally a branch, as of a plant, nerve, or blood vessel. It is also a given name which is popular among Arabs and Jews in the Levant. In Arabic, it means Archer, or good marksman. The Hebrew version of the name, however, is derived from the Hebrew word Ram, meaning high or exalted.
