Ramgati is located at 22.6056° N 90.9972° E . It has 59387 units of house hold and total area 570.55 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Ramgati has a population of 335243. Males constitute are 51.57% of the population, and females 48.43%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 146035. Ramgati has an average literacy rate of 19.9% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
