Rambo apple

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The historic Rambo variety of apple was introduced to the American colony of New Sweden in 1640 by Peter Gunnarsson Rambo, a Swedish immigrant. The greenish yellow apple with red stripes ripens in mid-summer, and is good for pies, jelly, and drying.

The apple also got the honour of giving the name for action hero John Rambo.
