Ramble Underground is an online literary magazine of fiction and poetry created in 2005 and edited by Joseph Thomas, Jonathan Feingold and Susan Christopher, all published writers themselves. The journal is released on a quarterly basis, typically on the 21st day of March, June, September and December.

[edit] Mission Statement

The basic premise of the magazine is to publish unknown and little known writers of great talent. It tends to sway towards the gritty and away from the mainstream. It looks for writing that shows literary bravery and honesty. Recent authors published include Bob Thurber, Randall Brown, Jim Musgrave, Joseph Thayer, Rea Frey and Wayne H.W Wolfson.

Ramble Underground hosts a semi-annual short story fiction writing contest. First and second place winners receive cash awards and the third place winner receives an honorable mention. All three short stories are published online.

[edit] Awards and Recognitions

Work published has been nominated in the following:

Pushcart Prize
Storysouth's Million Writer's Award
