Ramapuram is a census town in Thiruvallur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Important locations in Ramapuram are L &T Company, Easwari Engineering College and Miot hospitals. It is a great place to live. The great L & T company is here only. The most prestigious GDA Technologies Ltd. is also situated here. Big IT parks are under construction. Airport is just 20 minutes drive in bike.

Ramapuram is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 9 metres (29 feet). Ex-Chief Minister of TamilNadu, Dr.M.G.Ramachandran stayed in this place. Ramapuram is also famous for Lakshmi Narasimha Perumal Temple ( Lakshmi Narasimhan statue is approximately 2000 years old).Ramapuram is in out-skirts of chennai, which seems to be pollution less with no water problem.This has surrounded with big hospitals like MIOT, SRM & Rakshit hospital. This place is well known for nationalised Bank & ATM centers ( like Bank of Baroda, UTI, ICICI & SBI Bank).

As of 2001 India census[2], Ramapuram had a population of 30,251. Males constitute 47% of the population and females 53%. Ramapuram has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 61%. In Ramapuram, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
