Ramankarry

Ramankarry is a place in the Kuttanad region of India, beside the Pamba River. It is 9 km away from Changanacherry City and 17 km from Alappuzha City and it is the main bus stop in AC (Alappuzha-Changanacherry Road), now a State Highway). There is a temple in the name of Ayyappa on the banks of the river. It is situated between two beautiful Rivers.
Ramankarry is the home of a first class judicial magistrates court, Government offices, DEO (District Educational Officer) office, NSS (Nair Service Society) Higher Secondary School, Waves Foundation Kuttanadu and is the home place of Venu Nagavalli. Ramankarry was the gateway to other neighbouring villages of Veliyanadu, Vezhapra, etc., as it was the Main Bus Stop and was a Shopping Center for the villages near-by. St. Joseph's Church is situated at the center of the village. Ramankarry has a lot of small beautiful Canals, Coconut Trees along the banks of extremely beautiful vast Paddy Fields.
