Ramón Maradiaga

Ramón Enrique Maradiaga Chávez (born October 30, 1954 in Amapala, Honduras) is a retired Honduran football player. Currently, he is coach of the Guatemala national football team.
Nicknamed 'Primitivo', Maradiaga has played as a midfielder amongst others for Motagua, Club Deportivo Aguila and he was part of the Honduras national football team that took part in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
After his playing career ended, he has been rather successful as a coach. He had been in charge of the Guatemala national football team in recent years, but his contract was however terminated after they failed to reach the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification play-offs. He has also coached CD Victoria, Club Deportivo Aguila and the Honduras national football team.
