Ramón Luis Rivera, Jr. is a Puerto Rican politician affiliated with the New Progressive Party.
He is the current Mayor of Bayamón (as of 2007). His father was politician Ramon Luis Rivera, the previous mayor of Bayamón.
In 2000, Rivera Jr.'s father, Ramon Luis Rivera, announced that he would not run for mayor again after having been in office since 1977. Rivera, Jr. announced his candidacy for the mayor's office and was elected as mayor in November 2000. He was re-elected in 2004 and is seeking a third term in 2008.
