You're likely here because I've linked this page from my votes/opinions in the ArbCom elections.
Generally, I'm a tough guy to please in ArbCom voting. I don't mean to offend, but my standards are impossibly high. I look first and foremost for community trust.
Please do ask me questions if you're unsure why I voted a certain way on any given candidate, but I'm extremely unlikely to change my opinion.
I have also, in a few cases, elaborated on my votes below:
- Danny: Probably the hardest vote I've made this year. I respect and trust Danny immensely. But I think he's ill-suited to the requirements of an arbitrator.
- Endlessdan: A hilarious campaign, but I couldn't in good conscience support him.
- Giano: Giano's recent release of the Durova e-mail was a classic case of doing the wrong thing for the right reasons -- even if he may have done it for attention more than to make a legitimate complaint (and to that end, I'm not sure why he did it). But it was a patently unacceptable thing to do, as far as I'm concerned -- e-mail correspondence is intended to be private, and I don't think there was a legitimate reason to publish this correspondence publicly. (And, for the record, I did not receive and have not seen this particular e-mail).
- Raul654: I think it's a shame that he's doing poorly due to inactivity. Frankly, when he is active, he's the most reasonable voice on ArbCom, and has been since at least 2005, when I started following wiki politics. While inactivity certainly has been a problem, I can't oppose him on that, because he's just too damn good.
