Ralph W. Norman (born June 20, 1953), American politician, has served as a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2005[1]. He was born in York County, South Carolina, and currently resides in Rock Hill, where he is a real estate developer at the Warren Norman Company, a business founded by and named after Norman's father.
Norman gave up his state House seat after one term to become the 2006 Republican candidate for U.S. Congress in South Carolina's 5th Congressional District (map). He lost to incumbent Democrat John M. Spratt, Jr. by 57%-43%. On October 10, 2006, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) released two weeks of television advertising it had reserved to support Norman. A week later the NRCC released its last week of reserved television advertising. The total value of the reserved advertising time to support Norman was $1 million.
