Ralph F. Beermann

Ralph Frederick Beermann (August 13, 1912February 17, 1977) was a Nebraska Republican politician.

Born near Dakota City, Nebraska, USA, he graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa and then some Army specialist schools. During World War II he served in the African-European Theaters in the United States Army as part of the Six Hundred and First Ordnance Battalion and the Three Hundred and First Ordnance Regiment. After the war he partnered with his 6 brothers (the Beermann Brothers) in farming, alfalfa dehydrating and cattle raising in Dakota County, Nebraska.

He became the chairman of Dakota County Republican Central Committee for ten years and organized the Dakota County Young Republicans. He was elected to serve the 3rd district of Nebraska to the Eighty-seventh United States Congress and serving the 1st district to the Eighty-eighth United States Congresses. He was a member from January 3, 1961 to January 3, 1965. He did not win reelection in 1964. He returned to his business pursuits. He died in a plane crash at Sioux City Municipal Airport on February 17, 1977. He was buried in Dakota City Cemetery.

He was a member of the Lutheran church and a member of the Farm Bureau, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Kiwanis.
