Historic LAFD Fireboat Ralph J. Scott as seen in Firemen's Grapevine Magazine, March 1988; (c)1988 Wilton S. Tifft Commissioned by the Los Angeles Fire Department in 1925, The Ralph J. Scott served the Port of Los Angeles for 78 years. A registered historical landmark, she has been steadfast in serving the Port in times of need. Weighing in at 99 ft LOA and 106 gross tons, she was capable of pumping 18,600 gallons per minute at the time of her retirement.
