[edit] Gloucester City

I'm afraid I know nothing at all about Gloucester City (I'm not even sure where they play!) - I'd just found the article 1. Matt Bath that someone created, moved it to the right page, and fixed the list so that any more articles would be created with a correct title. Good luck fixing the page up, though. [edit] Colchester United

By an amazing coincidence, I was in the middle of updating the squad of Colchester United to match the format used for most Prem clubs when I got the new messages popup, so yes, I'd be happy to help. Oldelpaso 18:15, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

I used the official website for the nationalities of the squad. If they are useful resources why not put them in the external links section at the bottom of the article? Is there anything in particular about the articles that you want to see added, or just general expansion? Oh, and out of curiosity, I see you are from the States, so why the relatively obscure English teams Colchester and Gloucester? Oldelpaso 18:38, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Just curious. I'll try to get the Colchester article to a standard similar to that of the bigger clubs in their division over the next day or two, then I'll take a look at Gloucester. Oldelpaso 19:04, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Agreement

Hi Rakuten06,

Be glad to work with you on Gloucester City. I'm working on an article on the history of the club put together from various match programmes. I live in Gloucester and watch the team regularly. I'll fit in with your overall scheme though, since you did start the page. Have you any special requests for what you want me to work on next? I can probably get information on most aspects of the club.

Best wishes

[edit] Re: Budapest Honvéd FC

Hi Rakuten06,

Actually, I don't know practically anything about this football club, except that it's from Hungary. :) Sorry!! Adam78 02:16, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gloucester City Strip

Hi Rakuten06,

What looks like a young user, probably with the best of intentions, has damaged the graphic for the soccer strip. Could you help to put it back together? Also, she's been dabbling with the Chris Burns article. Would it be diplomatic to switch it back, making appropriate and sensitive changes in line with what I perceive to be her intentions?

Thanks,

--Dave Hatton

[edit] Naval 1º de Maio and Estrela da Amadora

Glad I can help. What do you need? I can provide the histories of the clubs, the complete squad and board of directors, trophies, etc. Just ask me. - Gameiro 19:07, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gloucester City player deletions

Hi Rakuten06,

Have you seen this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Gloucester_City_footballers

Dave Hatton 01:43, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Sorry if It takes long to talk to you

No problem. I've got the same problem with my job.

We do need to pick up some points pretty badly to avoid relegation, although I believe that the future is bright under the new manager Tim Harris. The last time it happened was in the 1999-2000 season and it took four years to get out of the Southern League Western Division.

[edit] AFC Sudbury

Hi. Think I've sorted this page - a labour of love, natch. Please check up after me! Dancarney 19:23, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Abingdon United F.C.

I've changed the player list. As I said before, at this level of football players do not have squad numbers, they're given their number on the day. I don't think it's worth Wiki-ing the individual players as they are not notable enough to warrant their own pages. Dancarney 00:16, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

This could well be finished. I can't find any more worthwhile info from the club's own website, so that's probably it. Dancarney 11:49, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AFC Aldermaston

Hi,

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I was offline for a few weeks. I'd try finding out which league they're in and seeing if the league's page has any info on them. Failing that, you could get hold of one of their match programmes as they usually have club history info in them, although that wouldn't be practical if you're planning on de-stubbing a lot of clubs. CTOAGN (talk) 14:47, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AFC Dunstable

I've put a club history and an infobox in. It's very short as the club doesn't provide much info. I suspect there's nothing much to write about! By the way, all of the football club stubs for English teams will unboudtedly be for those clubs at a very low level (semi-professional and amateur) so there's no need to Wikify the player's names as the individuals will not warrant a separate entry, unless they are a former professional on the way down. Dancarney 20:50, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Alsager Town F.C.

Hi Rakuten06,

Exactly what restructuring information do you want to add? That of the National League System? Details for that would only be put in the league article; individual club articles, in my opinion, do not need all the details, only how it affected them, if it did. Tell me what exactly you're looking to put in. Aabha (talk) 11:02, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Helping

Hi there Rakuten, I've seen you asking "what to do" on several pages today. As you seem to love sports you might want to help me out in several things. I create/update articles according to the latest sports results and whatever I notice from their past when creating the articles. I also create some bigger articles of sports people that interest me and which probably need some copy-editing as well. If you want, you can help me with all this. Please reply here, or contact me on my talk page to discuss further. Cheers, SportsAddicted 00:59, 8 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re:Ecuador general elction

Excuse me, but i think that percents in the Ecuador General Election is disputed, because I has Supreme Court of Elections in Spanish website said that with 50.92% votes counted with Correa leading Noboa with 25.22% to 25.01%, and where do you get this results, which you post on this article?? [edit] Expansion of WP:A-League

Hi Rakuten06,

Just thought I'd let you know there is currently a proposal to expand WikiProject A-League to include all areas of football/soccer in Australia, including the NSL, A-League, Socceroos, state leagues and more. A more formal proposal page can be found here. Please indicate whether you support the idea or not at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject A-League, and also add your 2c about what the new project should be called. Cheers! – AlbinoMonkey (Talk) 04:15, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Seasons in Greek football

Hi there - I was the one who added in league tables to nearly all the seasons in English football - I did it automatically with a Python script that pulled the content off RSSSF and converted it to wikicode. I might be able to do the same with Greek league tables, though it will take me a little time to tweak the code and get the wikilinks to point to the right club names. Would that be of any use to you? Qwghlm 17:52, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Translation

Hi! Here's the translation:

Bonjour,

Puis-je utiliser cette photo (est-elle licensée?) pour Wikipedia, où nous faisons un article sur Kunio Okawara? Si elle est licensée, pourriez-vous me fournir le lien vers le contact qui a posté la photo de Kunio?

Hope it helps!--SidiLemine 14:40, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A.F.C. Portchester

Yeah, seems reasonable ChrisTheDude 15:10, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Before removing the stub notice I would endeavour to add an infobox. I'd also de-link the names of the players - at this level they aren't likely to ever have their own articles (the few that are bluelinks point to different people who happen to share their names)..... ChrisTheDude 12:30, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I doubt they have a player called "Goal Own"....... ChrisTheDude 20:37, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

If you like.... ChrisTheDude 20:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Acle

Seems reasonable.... ChrisTheDude 15:34, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem, don't worry about it. :-) ChrisTheDude 15:49, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
The FCHD is probably just down temporarily. Try dropping a message to User:Richard_Rundle, he is the webmaster of the site.... ChrisTheDude 15:54, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
Yes, FCHD is temporarily down to an oversight in me paying the hosting charges. It will be back up a.s.a.p., hopefully within hours rather than days! As a P.S., unfortunately there is nothing on Acle United there yet anyway, the Anglian Combination is on the list of things to do when I've got some time. - fchd 19:40, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

If there are no sources which can be used to expand the article then we'll just have to leave it in its stub state. Why not pick a different club to work on? ChrisTheDude 21:33, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, by all means have a look at Alveston, they've certainly played at a high enough level that nobody is going to AfD the article ChrisTheDude 06:59, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alveston

Yes, the requirement for a club is that they have played at level 10 or higher, so Alveston just qualify! ChrisTheDude 20:27, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

The fact that Alveston have been relegated is irrelevant, the requirement is that a club has played at levels 1-10 at any point in their history, not just in the current season...... ChrisTheDude 22:04, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
If there genuinely isn't enough source information to expand the article then it's best to move on to something else. Here's the link to the list of stubs: Category:English football club stubs ChrisTheDude 08:44, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Turkey

Sorry, I don't know anything about Turkish football or who edits articles on it. Probably best to look through the edit histories of various articles on Turkish football and see who the active editors in that area are....... ChrisTheDude 14:24, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Turkish Football Club

Sure, what do you need help with? CAN 21:20, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Alright, how about I start with a translation from the Turkish wikipedia then? Then we can move on to other things like squad and staff etc. CAN 18:39, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Coulsdon United F.C.

This team plays at level 10, so should be OK for an article if you can find some sources......... ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:37, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

That appears to be their official website, it's OK to use info from it but an independent source or two in the article as well would be good........ ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:49, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
